Joe Mettle pours scorn on Patience Nyarko's 'overly hyped' comments

The 2017 VGMA Artiste of the year has finally responded to sensational gospel minstrel, Patience Nyarko’s viral comments about his songs.

Over a month ago, the ‘Obi Nyani Me’ hitmaker went viral on various platforms and social media, when she stated on air during an interview that, “I don't want people to think Joe Mettle is the only Gospel artiste in Ghana. He is being overly hyped and I want people to know that he is not there yet".

Well, interestingly, we never heard or had any feedback from the ‘Bo Noo Ni’ songwriter, as people were anticipating to know what he’d say about this.

In an up-close interview with TV and Radio personality mogul, Giovani Caleb, on his 360 Showbiz entertainment program on TV3, he was asked, “Where were you when your fellow gospel musician made a comment about you?”.

Joe Mettle first said, “Which one?” and then Giovani added, “with Patience Nyarko”.

From the interview sighted by Skbeatz Records, Joe Mettle responded stating, “Oh but that issue is gone…..I was just at home…I stayed at where I was (smiling)…yes I watched the video though. ….Please let’s move on”.

Giovani further asked if Patience Nyarko is his friend, and whether they both contact each other for gigs or events and he said, “Well, We are all gospel musicians….I wouldn’t know if she has my number or not”.

Joe Mettle is soon to release another worship track titled “YESU MO”.
